I'm sure I'm just like most people here, at the end of my rope. We are a family of 4 living in Leander, Texas. I lost my job in November and my husbands hours were cut in February. We have depleted savings over the last few months and there is absolutely nothing left. We both lost our vehicles last month and are on the verge of loosing our home. Neither of us have family that we can turn to and due to the job loss and the cut backs credit card bills are falling father behind, so a loan is impossible. While I am still activly looking for employment, I do have a job offer that begins April 20th when the person retires. We have stopped paying for anything but necessities, our credit isn't as important as our survival. We were hoping savings would get us through, but we find our selves behind. My husbands pay is enough for necessities, but not enough to get us current. Once my pay kicks in the beginning of May we will be fine, so what I am looking for is assistance in getting us current. I have arrangements with our water and gas company, but rent and electricity are of utmost concern. If there is anyone out there who can help, I will be forever grateful and will be happy to begin paying back the favor once my paychecks kick in come May. I have never felt this worthless in my life. I see the light at the end, but I'm not sure we can survive the travel for just a little while longer. Our situation is as follows:
Rent past due $975. Again, we can cover the next months rent, but simply do not have a way to make the past due.
Electricity $532
